What is anime?

As its name indicates is based on the Japanese animation manga of the same name. 
First, for those who do not know, the manga is a comic book series strictly Japanese. An example of manga and anime is the popular series, Naruto.

Normally, the anime and manga characters have a very distinctive design, which is what you will see below:

THE EYES: Generally, are very big and beautiful, with bright collors. 


The hair: there are all kinds of collors, shapes and length.


The body: this is provided, similar to a real person, but with very few defects and curvy womans. 


Bishoujo: these are very beautiful woman. 


Bishounen: these are extremely handsome men. 

Ciel and Sebastian of Kuroshitsuji. 

Moe: exalt the tenderest traits of the characters. 


Chibi: the characters are very small and extremely tender traits. 

Sakura and Keros of Sakura Card Captor. 


DEMOGRAPHIC GENRES: 

Kodomo: aimed at children. 

Doraemon. 


Shounen: aimed at adolescent boys and girls. They tend to be action. 

Dragon ball Z

Shoujo: aimed at teenage girls. 

Tokyo Mew Mew. 


Seinen: aimed at older men. 

Elfen Lied. 

Josei: aimed at mature women. 


Nana.

SOME THEMATIC GENRES ARE: 

Yaoi: are relations between gay male couples. This genre is more explicit than shounen-ai. 


Sensitive pornograph. 

Yuri: are relations between pairs of homosexual women. This genre is more explicit than shoujo-ai. 

Yami to boshi to hon no tabibito. 


Shounen-ai: are relations between gay male couples. Shows much love between the couple and no sex acts. 

Sekaiichi hatsukoi. 

Shojo-ai: are relations between pairs of  homosexual women. Shows more love between the couple and no sex acts. 

Strawberry panic. 

Maho-Shoujo: magical girl. 

Sakura Card Captor. 

Shota: homosexual or heterosexual romance between young children. also can occur between an adult and a child. 

Loveless.
